The Beach:
Want to swim and relax in the sand? Go to the beach for spring break! Spring break is a great time to go before the hot summer weather comes in.
Tip: Have a picnic on the beach.
The Mountains:
More of a mountain person? Try hiking in the mountains! It’s a great place to take pictures, see historic places, or have a picnic.
Tip: Go to Molly’s Rock and have a picnic or check out the cool stories about the location.
The Lake:
Want to go swimming or canoeing? Try going to a lake. You can go kayaking, swimming, or fishing!
Tip: Try hiking trails around the lake or taking photos at sunset.
Historical sights:
Want to know more about your city or state’s history? Check out all the historical battlefields, parks, and forts. South Carolina is filled with historical places.
Tip: Make a scrapbook or map of all the historical places you’ve been to.
Museums:
Try going to museums in your area or state museums. It’s a great place to go with friends, take pictures, and hangout.
Tip: Try taking polaroids in certain exhibits.
Planetarium:
Want to know more about astronomy? Check out the planetarium! Watch shows about the stars and constellations on a screen above you that looks like the night sky, or look at the sky through a giant telescope.
Tip: Try going stargazing on your own or with friends after you go to the planetarium to see if you can name stars and constellations.
Play Theatres and Opera Houses:
Want to see a play or performance that you can’t experience on a screen? Go to an opera house or a play theatre! There are lots of good theatres around with plays, mystery dinners, or performances.
Tip: Go with friends and dress up for the event.
Gardens:
Check out a garden. Spring is here and everything is about to bloom! Try going to a garden in your area or in your state to see plants you haven't seen before.
Tip: Bring sunscreen and water. It can get hot around this time in a Garden.
