Tea Time Tuesday!

#NewberryNow was invited to join in on an incredible and delicious addition to a beloved tradition! The Gallery, Downtown Newberry has a #hiddentreasure that is not quite as well know as it should be. Tucked into the back half of what is already a charming store, is the Silver Teaspoon Tea Room! A delicate, but comfortable cafe/ tea room style set up complete with colorful floral tea ware, white table cloths and shiny silver spoons. They are launching a few different Teas that will make any time of the day a delight.

After being seated we were introduced to Ms. Kathy Taylor form "Made From Scratch", which is her own catering company with quite possibly the states best dips and spreads! ( So Yummy) Ms. Taylor explained that today's tea would be a "Classic Tea" complete with two types of hot teas, a three tier display of sweet and savory treats and devonshire cream that would make you wanna splat the queen! (Our words not her's)

First up was Lemon Sorbetti Tea: light and tart but refreshing!

Then we were served an array of wonderful tasty bites: Lemon rosemary shortbread, from scratch peach scones, meringue baskets with sweet blueberries and mint, lemon curd tartlets, fresh baby tomato crostini and herb cheese crackers.

Second tea was Cucumber Mint Green Tea: which was quite refreshing and perfect for after such a wonderful meal!

Starting today and so forth, Tuesdays will now be dubbed #Teatimetuesday! After our tea came to an end, Ms. Taylor talked about what she will be hosting on Tuesdays! As of now, it will be by reservation only. She explained that a Breakfast Tea is an option with a fresh quiche or a Cream Tea is also available for afternoon as well with a warm scone, devonshire cream and hot tea! Offering 2 Tea Service Choices:

1) CREAM TEA DELUXE: $9.95 per person + tax and gratuity($13.00 total). Seasonal Scone, savory bread, fresh fruit, Devonshire Cream, and Jam or Lemon Curd. 1 Tea will be served.

Available starting at 10AM-2:00PM

2) CLASSIC TEA: $19.95 per person + tax and gratuity ($26.00 total). Experience Tiers of Delight with unique tea sandwiches, homemade savories, scones, and delectable tartlets and sweets of the season. 2 Teas will be served
