Hats. Underwear. Gloves. Socks. Drive!
The Newberry County Young Professionals are pleased to announce that the 5th annual H.U.G.S. Drive has begun for 2022. The drive collects donations of brand new (with tags) hats, underwear, gloves, and socks for children in the Newberry County School District. Sizes requested are from children's small up to 3XL. This year we have partnered with the Newberry County Chamber of Commerce, the African American Alumni Chapter of Newberry College, and the Muller Center at Newberry College to help make this year a success. H.U.G.S. Drive donations may be dropped off at The Chamber of Commerce, or the Muller Center - located in Keller Hall on the Newberry College campus during their operating hours. Items are being collected from October 17th through December 2nd, 2022. Last year the Newberry County Young Professionals and their partners collected over 1,000 items to donate to the Newberry County School District. This year's goal is to collect at least 1,500 items.
