The owner Eddie Long is from Prosperity and loved Newberry so much he deiced to make a difference with Fair Tade Organic coffee, chocolate, and other goods. Hot and iced espresso and tea drinks along with whole bean and ground coffee by the pound. Some

coffee is even roasted right in the back of Genesis.

He is passionate about how his consumption impacts farmers and artisans around the

world. He wants to be a part of solutions to global problems such as slavery and poverty. Fair

Trade is a great tool that works towards solutions to those problems. He wanted to help educate Newberry County about modern-day slavery and fair trade, and then enable them to do something about it by creating a space where all the products you consume actually make the world better. They are also called to care for the environment and climate change affects the poor most of all so they also work towards sustainability in their products. He also wanted to create an environment that is conducive to creativity and enable others to connect and use their skills to create things that make the world better.
