Hometown Hero: Blooming With Kindness

Patsy J. Sims is a native of Newberry SC and the proud owner of Bountiful Blessings Florist. Although her business has only been established for about 11 years, she’s been a blessing too many for many years before. She’s served in ministry at New Covenant Christian center here in Newberry where she is affectionately known as mother patsy. She’s always willing to use her gifts and talents as well as being a vessel to do whatever is needed. Mother Patsy is one of the most thoughtful and considerate people I know. There have been times when she has rendered services to those who could not pay without expected compensation from the goodness of her heart. She’s just that kind of person and for acts of kindness like this, I feel as though she deserves a public pat on the back. We need to give honor where honor is due.
