Get that sunscreen out and get ready for summer! Here are some fun family activities for all ages!!


  1. Dutch Square Fair

Where: Columbia SC (421 Bush River Rd)

Date & Time: Last Week to go! Tuesday, May 24th - Sunday, May 29th Gates open at 5:00 pm

Info: Make TODAY Your Day To Play! Ride ALL the Rides! Free admission! Free parking. The Dutch Square Fair in Columbia (421 Bush River Rd) Rides! Games! Food! Family Fun!

2. Aiken County Family YMCA Waterpark Season Opening

Date and Time: Saturday, May 28th Park opens at 10 am

Info: Join us for the long-awaited opening of our waterpark for the 2022 summer season! Open to the public! This is a Summer Long Activity!


3. Movies on the Mount

Where: Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church, West Columbia, SC

Date & Time: Friday, May 27th, 5 pm - 9 pm

Info: Movies on the Mount is a night of food, fellowship, movie, and popcorn! This weekly event is open to our community residents and anyone that wants to attend on Friday nights from May 27 to July 15.

A food truck will be open at 5 pm each week for food and drink purchases. The movie will start around 7 pm with free popcorn!! It will be a great family night for all.

4. Kids Night Out

Where: Empire Gymnastics Training Center and After School Program | 116 S Lake Ct, Lexington, SC 29073-7355, United States

Date & Time: Friday, May 27th @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Info: Join us for our tropical luau-themed Kids Night Out where we are celebrating summer! We will be having open gym time and playtime on our bounce house, trampolines, and foam pit along with games and crafts. Pizza will be provided! 7. Lemonade Day

8. Encanto Showing at Icehouse Amphitheater

9. Backyard Saturday - Family Trail Day

Where: Salu da Shoals Park 6071 St Andrews Rd, Columbia, SC 29212, United States

Date & Time: Saturday, June 4th, 10 am - 12 pm

10. Movie in the Park

Where: Reunion Park Large Shelter, 749 Mill Street Little Mountian, SC 29075 US

Date & Time: Saturday, June 4th | 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm

Info: Starting at dusk, the Disney Pixar movie, Luca will be shown! This is a FREE event sponsored by the Town of Little Mountain. Free popcorn and bottled water will also be available! Bring your chair and blanket for an evening in Reunion Park!

11. Kids Summer Artist Choice Resin Window

Date & Time: Wednesday, June 8th | 10 am - 12 pm

Info: Bring your child to learn Resin art in this fun Kids Artist Choice class. Ages 6-12.

Limited to 12 due to social distancing. Masks are optional.

Please specify the design when checking out. They can choose from a mermaid, turtle, flamingo, seahorse, or butterfly.

Bring in an 8x10 frame with glass (We prefer Belmont frames from Michaels) all other supplies are included for $30. They may bring special items to enhance their art. The artwork will have to cure overnight.

Registration ends TWO weeks before the class. (Joining this event does not secure your seat).



12. Party in the Pines 2022

13. Festival of Flowers

Where: Uptown Greenwood, SC.

Date: MAIN WEEKEND, JUNE 10-11

14. Springdale Summerfest & Golf Cart Parade

Where: Town of Springdale, SC

Date & Time: Saturday, June 18th @ 7:00 pm

Info: Please join us for our "Springdale Summerfest & Golf Cart Parade" on Saturday, June 18th at the Felton C. Benton Park. No golf cart...No problem, just bring a chair and join us along the parade route or meet us in the park! This year we are hosting Carter Lybrand for live music entertainment with free food and more. There will be a full night of family fun ending with a spectacular firework display. Contact Town Hall for Golf Cart registration information or if your business is interested in sponsorship!   1. South Carolina Festival of Discovery

Where: Uptown Greenwood County | 120 Main St Greenwood, SC 29646

Info: The South Carolina Festival of Discovery is the premier event of the year sponsored by the Uptown Greenwood Development Corporation. The event started in 2000 and has become the most highly anticipated event in the region. The festival celebrates the history, culture, food, arts, crafts, music, and people that make South Carolina and Greenwood County such an incredible places to live and visit.

2. Summer Riding Camp 1

Where: Lander University Equestrian

Date & Time: Monday, June 6th -Friday, June 10th | Monday through Friday 9:00am to 1:00pm

Info: join us for Horse Day Camp! Ages 7-12

Experience the wonderful world of horses with instruction in riding and horse care. Great opportunity for beginners to advanced to learn and have fun, in an energetic and friendly atmosphere. A wholesome and educational experience, that your kids will truly enjoy!

Drop off at 8:30 is available

Friday at 10:30 am - parents and friends are invited to "Parent Day Showcase"

Cost: $250 - $50 deposit to hold a limited spot

Second Camp Session for ages 13- 18 starts on Monday, July 11th - Friday, July 15th

2. Carolina Pride Pastures

Where: 1416 SC Highway 34 Pomaria, SC 29126

Date & Time: Open on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Carolina Pride Pastures is an alpaca farm featuring both types of alpacas- Huacaya and Suri. The farm specializes in farm tours, farm-produced alpaca yarn, handmade fiber items, fleece sales, and alpaca fertilizer. 3. Grow Newberry Farmers Market + Art

Where: Downtown Newberry at Memorial Park

Dates and Times: Selected Saturdays from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

We strive to have free, fun activities for kids and live music each week.



4. Gully Washer Park

Where: 1786 Gleen Street Extension Newberry, SC

Date: Now Opening on May 21st

Admission DAILY ADMISSION $3 Adults & Children

Every Child (14-under) must be accompanied by an Adult.

No Adult is admitted without a Child.

5. Uptown Greenwood Splash Pad

Where: Downtown Greenwood in the market square

Dates & Times: Monday - Saturday from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm Sundays 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Open from May 28th through September 5th

Bring lawn chairs/ camping chairs, sunscreen, and towels. Open to the public for free!
