15 Days of Christmas Cheer!

1. Santa's Tour of Newberry! Fridays before Christmas in Dec from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Before Christmas Santa will tour the streets of Newberry's neighborhoods via Fire Truck! make sure you bring your kiddos out to watch him come by. 2. North Pole Nights! Fridays before Christmas in Dec from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. located in Community Hall & Memorial Park. Experience the wonders of the North Pole! Enjoy fluttering faux snow in Memorial Park, crafts, and a special Christmas story from Mrs. Claus, courtesy of the Newberry County Chamber of Commerce. Before arrival, all children are invited to write letters to Santa, at home, to bring and place in the NEW letters to Santa mailbox! 3. "Black Santa is Comin' to Town" Alongside with the Grinch! In the Spirit of Christmas and to spread a Whole Lotta love and cheer! They will be stopping by several neighborhoods on December 11th, 2021! here is the list of neighborhoods and times. Hosted by Joy Ride LLC.


4. Free Show at the Newberry Opera House! Tuba Christmas gets you in the season's spirit with the whole family for our fun holiday tradition! Join Newberry College professor Emeritus Bill Long lead dozen of tubas in a 45-minute show of pure sound of Christmas cheer! Saturday, Dec 11th at 3 pm. https://fb.me/e/1RFqSKeIU



5. Whitmire Christmas Parade! Saturday, Dec 11th at 1:00 pm. Hosted by the Whitmire Jaycees. Come and join us for a magical time and say hello to Santa!! make sure you bring yourself a chair and can't wait to see you!! https://fb.me/e/1Qxi7M6rT



6. Saluda Operation Christmas Parade “Jingle around the Block” will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 11:00 am. We would like to have many entries and lots of participation. The lineup will start on West Butler Avenue near the schools. Can't wait to see you there!! Reminder to bring your chairs!! This year the Town of Saluda has been asked to assist with the prep and landing for Santa's arrival! We need all the elves' help we can get!

7. Newberry Boys Farm & Area children's toy drive! This Saturday, Dec 11th at 12 pm.

The flyer below has more information about the event going on at the Boy's Farm. You can also go to the event page for information about what kind of gifts you can pick up for all ages.


8. Aveleigh’s Christmas Cantata this Saturday, Dec 12th from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. We invite you to join together for a holiday musical celebration! Get in the Christmas spirit and worship our Lord with us on December 12th at 10:30 a.m. as we sing Christian holiday favorites! Everyone is welcome. 9. Tea with the Sugar Plum Fairy Sunday, Dec 12th at 2:30 pm before the Nutcracker Show.

Join the Sugar Plum Fairy and her court for an enchanting tea before the show at The Firehouse Conference Center. Savory light bites, sweets, and tea or cocoa are included. Plus, get a chance to meet the Sugar Plum Fairy ballerina. The event will be held next door at The Firehouse Conference Center, 1227 McKibben Street, Newberry, SC 29108.

10. The Nutcracker Ballet Sunday, Dec 12th at 4 pm.

Become entranced by the Sugar Plum Fairy and her dazzling court, be enchanted by the swirling snowflakes, and cheer for the tiny toy soldiers and their leader, The Nutcracker Prince. This holiday classic ballet is the perfect treat for the whole family. Presented by national touring company Dance Alive, “The Nutcracker” is sure to enchant and delight audiences of all ages! 11. Country Christmas 2021! Starting Dec 3rd through Dec 26th from 7 to 9 pm. Country Christmas is an annual event offered to the public FREE during the month of December, with over 250,000 lights, multiple floats, and woodwork. Bring the whole family for fun and hot chocolate while you enjoy the magic of Christmas. 12. Story Time With Santa at the Newberry Museum is offered on two days Dec 15th and the 18th. Join us at the museum to hear some special Christmas stories from Santa! Children will gather around as Santa tells interesting Christmas legends. Following the storytime, parents will have the opportunity to take their own photos of their children with Santa! 13. Newberry Made Christmas Social Thursday, Dec 16th from 6 pm- 9 pm. Earth Safe Finishes has generously offered to host a Christmas Social for Newberry Made. BYOB and treats are accepted but not mandatory. There will be a gift exchange (participation is optional). If you wish to participate in the exchange bring a wrapped handmade gift or piece of art to exchange with your fellow creators. All are welcome. Located on 607 Nance St #keepcreating


14. The Little Big Band: Christmas Vacation Friday, Dec 17th starting at 8 pm. The band is coming to swing some of our favorite holiday tunes including a few fun & funny ones. It’s the gift that keeps on giving Clark! Taking inspiration from the holiday classic National Lampoon’s “Christmas Vacation”, the ColaJazz Little Big Band: the band that could! brings to the stage some of the great Christmas gems that Clark Griswold would approve. Following the movie’s storyline and referencing classic quotes, this swingin’ “Christmas Vacation” will be the hap, hap, happiest Christmas concert since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny [beep] Kaye!

15. Holiday Lights on the River!

Open nightly until Friday, December 31 2021, from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Experience the magic as Saluda Shoals Park comes alive in a blaze of more than a million sparkling lights. Journey through more than two miles of lights featuring over 400 colorful, animated light displays of all shapes and sizes! Create lasting family memories this year at Holiday Lights on the River.
